"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts."
- William Shakespeare
There are two kinds of people in the world: talkers and listeners. You have friends who are excellent listeners, you have friends who love to be the center of attention. What friend are you?
I wonder why people want to perform. I enjoy watching people on YouTube, people performing in plays and musicals, authors, musicians. It's human nature for extroverts to put themselves out there. It gives us a personality, defines who we are as people, and helps us become who we are. Even introverts find little ways to get noticed, without bringing too much attention to themselves.
Who was the first to start performing? Who even thought of putting on a show? It sounds to me that if someone tried that for the very first time he would be considered a show-off. And for that matter, who invented music? If you truly think about music, why do we listen to it, and why do we enjoy it? It's essentially people we don't know talking to us about things we probably can't relate to half the time, or, in the music of this era, we probably don't understand half the time. Don't get me wrong, I love music. I listen to it all the time, and it often optimizes my work.
I really thought about William Shakespeare's quote, and the more I think about it, the more I like it and the more it makes sense. I hope that all the people who come into my life or pop into others' lives make a difference, whether good or bad, that can be learned from.

I'm thinking there will be posts like this, more stream-of-consciousness type writing.

An Introduction to The Henrietta Box
Hello world! This is my first blog, and essentially my first big step into the Internet world. The Henrietta Box will be full of surprises, reviews, or whatever I feel like writing about at the time. Currently I have no schedule as to when I will be uploading new posts, and right now I prefer to remain anonymous, except to those who know me. I hope you all enjoy this journey with me!
